Amon building Gundam Wing Robots?

Is it just me or is Amon actually building robots? Those thingies on the screenshot below are definitely not satomobiles...




And if so, could it be he's being 'supported' by Hiroshi Sato? Or maybe he's extorting Sato and forcing him to work for him, much like war minister Qin did to The Mechanist?

That looks disturbing, and your theorie sounds plausible.
I don't think it wil be autonomous robots, I think it will be some machine that needs to be opperated by a person.
Something like those Gundam robots, like you said.

Sato's a powerful man. I doubt Amon could ACTUALLY force his hand into anything, but more importantly, I doubt he would need to do so. If Sato works with Amon, it's probably voluntarily. I'm betting an under the table business venture.

Though I would also guess that Sato isn't the only man capable of building high tech machinery.

However, I think we've already heard that Amon is building "Mechas" which are not the same as robots. True robots are probably still a ways beyond Avatar level tech, but steampunk mechas certainly aren't. I would bet anything based on the humanoid shape of these things that these are the mechas and not robots.

Wow. I paused the video right there to see what Amon was looking at. Didn't pay all that much attention to the poster on the left. Excellent find, Conzu! The design seems extremely bizarre, but definitely not impossible to craft for the current era of the series. Probably safe to assume that Amon has more than just equality amongst benders & non-benders in store for the world. Hiroshi Sato would be an ideal character for the construction of such technology and I can definitely imagine him being under pressure from Amon, but like Pleh said, ultimately there's more tech enthusiasts out there. It isn't like the original series where everyone was pretty much depending on the Mechanist to construct something. There must be more of them out there.

The last episode had an Advertisement for "Cabbage Corp: Republic City's Leader in technology for over 50 years" right before Amon made his announcement on the radio. Interestingly enough, this occurred in the same episode where Amon thanks modern Technology for providing the ability for anyone to hold the power of a chi blocker in their hands (The stun Gloves). I originally believed Sato was behind these devices, but after "And the Winner Is..." I'm starting to think Future Industries only specializes in Automobiles while Cabbage Corp is probably a conglomerate company that provides various technologies, hence "Republic City's Leader in technology." Obviously Cabbage Corp came from the Cabbage Merchant or his kid... I dont think that can be argued, and it would make sense that a company that came from a man whose original business was constantly ruined by benders would support someone who wants to bring down benders. So I'm thinking Cabbage Corp is providing Amon with his technology instead of Future Industries.

And to prevent this from getting out of hand, NO I dont believe Amon is connected to the cabbage merchant. I think it would be terrible writing for the Primary Antagonist to be related to nothing more than a piece of comic relief. However, I dont see anything wrong with a company sharing Amon's idea of ending benders and happily providing him with technology to make it a reality.

That would be hilarious if it were to be true (which seems likely enough). The gang messed the cabbage merchants business countless number of times. The cabbage merchant (or his sibling) seek vengeance on the bending world and Amon has the right set of skills to end it all. I have to insert "lol" to this because I find it all a bit too hilarious. XD

Though am I the only one who finds it funny how the ATLA/LOK fandom kind of already predicted everything we saw in 'The Aftermath'?
