Very true. Also note that near the end of the series, almost all of the characters' faces had shifted, shapewise. Eyes were bigger and shaped differently; mouths and smiles executed in different forms; softer, thinner lines for the face, etc.

Actually, fun fact time from Uncle SOTS. There were two animation studios that worked on season three (it's possible for the whole show, but I know for sure it was this way with season three). Basically, the animation studios alternated with one doing the odd numbered episodes and the other doing the even numbered. Go and compare the odd to the odds and the evens to the evens and you'll see the similarities quite clear. Where you can see the biggest contrast between the two animation studios is with the two-parter episodes such as DOBS and TBR.
