Description: As Aang and the gang enter the Earth Kingdom to travel to Omashu, they are met by a crazy general who plans on using the Avatar State for his own attack on the Fire Nation. Does Aang's Avatar journey end here?

In this episode we see one of my most favorite side characters! Hahahaha!

The good old

General Fong!

A brilliant General who is not of nobility and loved by his troops. If I am correct he commands a rather large number of troops and has a well protected base amid the mountain ranges. He is also I think, experienced in fighting the firenation as, I think, he launches attacks on them when the opportunity seems favorable. So far his base has withstand the war and seemingly is one of the few bases that has a offensive appeal than rather other EK bases that takes a more defensive position. His fate and of his army remains to be seen.

I hate general fong. I hate him so much. I don't know why(besides forcing aang into the avatar state) but I just hate him.

Perhaps because he is a bit too manipulative? ("You can stop this Aang") That's why I don't like him nor Azula.

Nah I love General Fong! Favorite General! Woot!

His great appeal among his men is wonderful! Manipulation is a requirement to his duties. Forcing Aang to the Avatar state, he thought, could be controlled and could be used to end the war. I love his populist appeal! WahooO!!!

no. I love the manipulative characters like azula. It's just his personality i guess. I just hate it.

Hell yeah, I agree with you zuzu. Azula really knows what to do and just makes things tense, she's one of the best manipulative and psycho characters I've ever seen! So therefore...go azula!!! you're really nuts but this show wouldn't go anywhere without you!

I like her too. As a character. The fact that she is there. I wouldn't want to be around her. Not at any cost. Anyway, if you look at it this way, I do like general Fong and I really hate Katara (who has become a huge Mary Sue).

Yeah, the difference I noticed thought, between general fong and princess Azula is that:

General Fong is intimidating simply because he has alot of power. Everyone listens to him just because he's at a high rank.

Azula is intimidating because shes scary as all hell. I have no doubt that if she wanted to over power her father, the firelord she would easily be able to do so.

I don't think she's a better bender either. I also don't think shes a better bender than Aang, because if you remember during CROD she was losing. The reason she won was because she had control over the Dai Li. If she has the power to do that, I have a feeling she has the power to turn more people against her father.

Yeah, despite all the stress she's given to the gang, you gotta love her.

Once she appeared in this episode, I knew that was it... bring on Zhao the second :D

General Font annoys me.

Azula is just plain AWESOME.

She makes LIGHTNING for gosh sake.
