Chapter 6: The Blind Bandit

Description: Still in search of someone to teach Earthbending to Aang, the kids happen upon a town that hosts an underground Earthbending tournament. They soon see "The Blind Bandit" in action and Aang is determined to have her as his teacher, but problems arise.

Hahaha! One of the Best Episode.

In this Episode Aang finds his Earth Bending teacher by attending the famous Earth Rumble Six. A wrestling like match that features some very interesting people. Here we will see Sokka enjoying himself so much like some Soccer Hooligan. We also get to meet "THE BOULDER" with his cool accent and manner of speaking such as "the boulder takes offense in that comment" or "The Boulder will bury you in a Rockalanche" (don't know about if those are right).

But it would Be a little girl who beats them all. Aang challenges the girl and wins for the girl is blind and Aang uses AIr Bending to defeat the girl.

Aang later searches for the girl and discovers her name, which is Toph. She is a daughter of one of the wealthiest families in the Kingdom and they exchange words. To cut the story short the Earth Rumble team captures Aang and Toph. Toph rescues them all, she runs away with the Gaang to teach Toph Earth Bending.

Don't you mean Airbending?

Anyway, I watched this episode a lot. Toph used to be my favourite female character, and Earth my favourite element. I also like the fact that (as you said) the little blind girl is the best Earthbender ever.

I just thought is was SUPER and HELLA cool that they added a new girl to the group in the end, I really couldn't believe it and the fact that she was such a good bender and blind in fact left me in awe.

probably my favourite episode to date.. toph is a great character and she had a great entrance into the show.

Actually he could earth bend, I think it was just part of his character to dress as a Fire Nation lover lol

To me the blind bandit is the best earth bender ever. I mean seriously who can see what is going on with earth bending while they are blind?!?! I think this episode gets a thumbs up.

This is where the second book finally picks up! Before this I'm going to be honest, in my opinion it wasn't all that great, i even thought avatar was falling apart, and i was getting worried. This episode ended those thoughts, this episode was probably the most dramatic turn of events in the whole series (other than when Zuko tries to join the avatar's gang). I also loved the fight, she looks so weak and harmless, but she it one of the strongest characters in the series, the way she moves and the angles and trajectory during the fighting made it a wonderful fight to watch, it was both invigorating and thrilling. At one point when she dodges the blast the fire nation man threw at her, you knew it was over for him, the look in her eyes was truly a sight too see, amazing episode, one of the best in my opinion.

I love this episode, one of my favorites!
There was this part that made me laugh so much, it was when Toph's father kept on spewing weak, fragile, helpless, and other such words to describe his daughter right in front of her! I'm so glad Toph proved him wrong! :)

Toph is one of my favorite characters. I love how she's blind, but she can see by earthbending, kinda like a bat can see with sound. I found this really awesome vid on youtube about this episode, set to the song "Dare You to Move" by Switchfoot.

I thought it was sooo cool when a little girl can take out all these muscular men loll I love when I get chills watching this episode because I think its soo epic. I love when they do slow motion for her blindness thing...

Yeah, it's freaky when the tiny rocks just barely miss her face. You have to wonder how she can see things like arrows when they're flying at her, though. Rocks I can understand...maybe the arrowheads are made of rocks?

The best part is when Toph is fighting the Boulder for the first time (her first apearence), and while the Boulder is going in slow motion, Toph hits her foot to the ground, and the earth shoots towards him in slow motion with the violins in the backround, then spread his legs apart.

I was planning on watching this episode (Book 2, Chapter 6) today but out of the two videos provided neither would work for me.
