Chapter 8: The Puppetmaster

Postby Kuku » Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:05 pm

congratulations girls on making this thread "topic related" after I dunno how many posts. I know you love chatting, talking and whatnot but you have to understand it's against the rules, do you not understand? What's so hard about it?

If you want to talk somewhere where nobody minds spamming, then go to the Water Tribe thread. Or go here http://avaportal.proboards86.com/v45inde....d=1479&page=492

Not trying to be annoying, it's just that spamming is annoying, and if you continue, I'm afraid I'll have to tell an admin.

Chapter 8: The Puppetmaster

I just wanted to say that I really loved this episode. It was so creepy (in a good way) and I enjoyed seeing Katara's struggle between saving her friends and keeping her morals. It made her even more 3-dimensional and human.

Chapter 8: The Puppetmaster

Postby starsapphire2 » Wed Aug 06, 2008 9:06 am

This episode was nice. But I hated that Hama killed those plants and flowers and trees for the water inside them. And Hama got water from out of the air, and it makes me think the air is getting really dry from lack of moisture.

Yep, that's probably how she works. She reaches out inside of things for what they have in there.

Chapter 8: The Puppetmaster

Definetly one of my favorite episodes. This episode also made me realize any bender can be evil, not just firebenders. I wonder whats to stop hama from bloodbending her way out of prison again 0.o

Chapter 8: The Puppetmaster

Postby Renori Fa » Fri Oct 10, 2008 10:17 pm

After this episode, Hama quickely became my second favorite character (Azula is the first).

But whenever I watch it, the beginning (with katara's story) always gives me the chills. I hate watching it alone/at night

Chapter 8: The Puppetmaster

Postby WaterBending_Monk » Wed Oct 15, 2008 11:37 pm

lol my friend is the same way, power. She hates watching this episode at night heh.

Like I said this was a great story for this episode. Even though bloodbending is evil, hama had some VERY useful waterbending techniques and katara was lucky to be taught them. Like pulling water out of thin air. That is amazing. Probably the most useful waterbending technique ever. That means a waterbender will always have access to water no matter what. Using the water in air as a backup attack if they don't have water directly with them, and pulling water out of nothing can save someones life. (like if you or someone else is dehydrated and there isn't any direct water around).
and also taking water out of plants and using the water to cut a boulder. That can be useful against an earthbender.

I just thought it was effin lame how she only used it once after the episode.

It would have been so awesome if she had used the Bloodbending in the final battle like against Azula. That would have been soooo boss.

p.s, Hama rulez.

Postby waterbender4winter » Mon Apr 06, 2009 1:17 pm

people have been disapearing the full moon but hamma is taking katara for a waterbending orientation during a full moon!

and you can be increased waterbending by the full moon! people disapearing during FULL MOON - waterbending increases during FULL MOON- hamma only waterbender at the town that has people dissapearing - hamma teaching katara during FULL MOON

not one bit suspicious or showing any sighn of physco pathic killer

I must say, that episode was the creepiest. My sister literally started wheeping next to me when I showed the near ending. xD
Great story, nice new charecter (although Hama might be one of the great minors) and I think the whole "creepiness" took a good effect on the series. I mean, since practically every episode is different, then why not have one that's a little creepier than others, heh? *wink*

It was really creepy. Bloodbending is interesting, but it would be really scary if somebody could actually do that.

Don't you think it's kinda funny; Katara gets her own episode (well, pretty much) and it happens to be probably the creepiest one in the whole series? Just saying. xD

That was definitely a creepy episode. Of course the woman being evil was obvious though. Still it was key to show just how dark a water bender can go. A terribly frightening power and good thing that she can only use it during a full moon. Ugly how the woman got what she wanted in the end though with Katara having to use it to stop her. Another good episode to focus on Katara.

Series just continues to show how anyone can go evil.
