Chapter 21: Sozin

Postby dira » Sat Jul 26, 2008 1:49 am

I cried when it was over, i really did.
Maybe I am to old to cry (36) about something like this,
but i was so happy, relived and sad alltougether.

I was with them for so long, i feared for them, i hoped for them,
and i laughed with them.

I will miss them, but i am happy. My boy did get his girl, and Zuko did get his too.
I will miss all of them, but i am relived.

And sad. It?s over. I hope someday there is something equal to be seen.
I never thought to be sucked in an animation like this.

They did really awesome work with this, and the creators have my gratitude
because their story reached me.

My english is still horrible but i hope you understood what i meant :)

bye :)

well, maybe the people would have overthrew her since she would have no Dai-Li or others to protect her

that was hilarious

lol azula is a nut job
too bad it ended in her losing her mind

Yup she certainly became nuts at the end of everything... *sigh*

Chapter 21: Sozin

Postby jirachi » Sat Jul 26, 2008 3:58 pm

I was really sad at how Azula "ended' I mean, it was really sad to hear her cry, i thought i would be happy to see her die, but like that?

Anyways The ending was nice, though they could have done as, "use-your-imagination" kind of thing, rather than imposing Kataang..

Well, no one said she was dead. Actually, no one knows, we don't even get to know if she's in prison at how vague Azula's defeat was. Nothing was known, so I hope we at least get to know something about her, cuz as I said before, such a characters deserves respect =P

Chapter 21: Sozin

Postby tophfan0110 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 8:10 am

It was a great episode, really great XD I can't believe it's all over. I mean, we don't know if it's actually over (and I really hope it isn't) because of that whole Zuko's cliffhanger deal (jeez what was that about? :P)
But poor Toph XP she was the only one who didn't get paired up
XD Well she actually never was a character who fit in with romance anyways but still...I could've expected a bit more Toph action in the scene with the air forces XP

Chapter 21: Sozin

Postby jedimastertoph » Thu Jul 31, 2008 8:32 am

I liked it, but it seemed a bit rushed, probably because Nick decided that some poor child might go into a state of shock if they only recieved 7 and a half hours of Spongebob instead of their daily 8. :o Oh no we can't have that happening!!! The world just might implode or something! *sigh* I fear for the intelligence of the generations behind me. Just hearing two words of anyone on that TV show just kills some of my brain cells. *shudders*

Anyways, I hope they show a nice mother-son reunion miniseries episode and a 'let's go see how crazy my sister has become' one too.

This was one of the greatest episodes ever, but I just realised that there was one thing I really sort of missed.

Tokka.

I don't mean I'm sad it didn't happen (even though I thought it'd make a good ship) but first we get all these hints (Sokka's master and, well, you name 'em) and then it just disappears. There wasn't a Toph-tells-Sokka-how-much-she-loves-him-and-Sokka-tells-her-he-is-in-love-with-Suki-but-still-loves-her-as-a-friend-scen e.

Same with Haru and The Duke and Teo and Chit Sang.

Chapter 21: Sozin

Postby mobo » Mon Aug 04, 2008 4:16 am

I've been away for two weeks, so I just finished watching all of the episodes from "Southern Raiders" through to "Avatar Aang" just now, and have a few thoughts...

Southern Raiders was a very good episode--probably one of the best of season 3. Plenty of action, some cool character development, and most importantly, nothing felt forced or rushed about it--it was pure ass-kickery.

The Ember Island Players...WTF? Enough said...

The Finale...pretty damn good. I was concerned that they were going to pull another "Boiling Rock" and hand me two hours of steaming crap, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I first saw the way Azula was acting, my first thought was "oh great, another stereo-typed, purely evil villian...", but when I realized that she was actually going insane, I got some shivers--the scene with her and her mother in the mirror was very cool.

I also thought that the action sequences were good. Sometimes finales can be very disappointing by being nothing other than one epically violent duel after the next...this had epically violent duels, but at least they didn't suck, and there was other stuff going on (hooray for the reveal of the White Lotus Society!).

Just one qualm, though--the firelord...what? He's a classic 2-D villain; he's flat and static, nothing more than a stereotype with a new face. I just thought that they could have made his motives at least a bit more believable and less "I'm going to destroy the world because I feel like it".

So, all in all...it was a good finale. It wrapped everything up while leaving the door open for a new avatar series, and kept me pretty engaged. That's all I expected and wanted. Just sad to see this (overall) great series come to a close. :-(

dunno if it already has been answered or not,
but when aang took ozai's bending away did he just disperse the energy into the air or did he absorb it and inherit the pheonix kings' skills??

hmm, very good question
I would really like to know the answer

I would guess he absorbed them, because it was consuming the energies and all that

I'm going to disagree with this. So prepare.

I thought this was a very much rushed episode. Katara was suddenly more dramatic than she usually was, the bloodbending felt so useless, especially after spending one whole episode learning it.

mobo wrote:The Ember Island Players...WTF? Enough said...

This must be my most favourite filler of all times. It was so funny, one big wink to fandom, and a little character development on the side.

I thought BR was great, but I agree about the finale being good.

Agree on this too...

I didn't think he was 2D at all. He maybe wasn't alltogether original, but there's a reason some clich?s are overused and that's because they work. He went crazy with power - a little like Azula, but not actually insane, just wanting more and more and more power.

I don't really see how it left the door open, as you say, except for leaving out where Ursa went.

Chapter 21: Sozin

Postby Nismo » Thu Sep 04, 2008 11:03 pm

OK so i just watched Avatar Anng (the final final ep) just for reminders of how it went. And something struck me in the fight between Katara, Zuko and Azula. Now Azula can use lightning, at the part after zuko went down and Azula was on the roof chasing katara Azula threw some lightning at Katara who blocked it with water bending.

Now i thought water conducts electric??? so should'nt Katara have be hit with electric shocks.

But im not one to fuss, because it was the best finarlly EVA!!

Postby WaterBending_Monk » Sun Sep 07, 2008 10:11 pm

The finale was amazing of course. One thing I know probably bothered some people was kataang and mako. Cause a lot of people wanted zutara but it didn't bother me. Aang saved the world so he deserves the girl he loves. Everything else turned out good. And I don't know about you guys but I can't wait until the entire season three comes out on dvd. :) Then I'll have all three seasons to watch whenever I want. I mean I know the chapters come out seperatly on dvd and you can watch the episodes online but I'll just feel better with all the dvd's in one pack.

Wow, i never noticed that.

Also, in 'The Library,' the picture of the Lion Turle shows that a man was almost the size of it, so i wonder if the Lion Turtle that Aang met was like, the King of Lion Turtles or something...?

Ozai has lost his fire bending and is in prison. Azula, might be in jail like her dad. There is peace. Zuko wants to know where is mother is. I wanna know too. They just left us with a huge cliff hanger.

Read this fanfiction which was not made by me(it is pretty interesting):

That was a pretty good finale. Its cool how Aang unleashes the avatar state and ends up not killing the fire lord. This is the only time he had control over the avatar state.

When they first get into the library, Aang pics up a book and says, 'Cool, check out this Lion Turtle thing.' He then opens the book and you see a picture of one...

Wow i didn't realize the foreshadowing of the lion turtle. But I did notice the symbols on the lion turtle in the finale kind of look like earth nation symbols. Hmm.
