lion turtles are so hardcore, and the old earth king went to travel the world in discise, i'll assume that he'll just take over where he left off, and rebuild the walls and such. and to someone who previously posted, katara meant she should be thanking zuko cause he kinda jumped infront of the lightening that would have killed or extremely hurt katara, so yeah thanks to zuko for saving katara's life. RIP SPACE SWORD.

It was a great finale
The music was also great on some parts like azula vs zuko
But one thing i hate
At first Ozai was pwning aang but since aang was in avatar state he became a coward and didnt even fight back

I feel like someone ripped a part of me out. Maybe it was my imagination, but to me, the whole 3rd book was a build the whole Zutara relationship. Then in the last 10 minutes it all turned into the thin air... How could they do that... it doesn't even make any sense....

i know! what happened?! i'd actually started to relax, "oh, that book was a load of bull...poor aang.", then they made out at the end! out of nowhere! it wasn't even a good kiss - zuko would have done better. *crosses arms and sulks*

they need to do more avatar...do they even realise it's their best show? with a fan base like this, you'd have to be really dumb (or nick apparently) to leave it like that! i don't care about some lame-ass movie they're making "in the future" - do some more episodes and actually finish what you started nick!!!

Yeah...it was definitely something.

I personally was disappointed about the whole Zuko asking his father where his mother is. They shouldn't have even brought it up if they weren't going to say anything about it. In an earlier episode he found out she was banished and not killed so they've been building it up but left us hanging. I think she's dead though...I think we would have seen her somewhere if she was. Perhaps we did meet her we just didn't realize. *shrug*

Also, another thing I was disappointed with was the fact that Katara never blood bended. I mean, I know she wouldn't do it unless she HAD too but...I dunno...it kind of makes the Puppetmaster episode seem meaningless. I realize it was character development but I think Katara should have used it on Azula after Zuko was down for the count. It would have been interesting.

What I really liked was how we saw how truly insane Azula was. In ways I think she's more dangerous than the firelord(Or Phoenix King).

Yay! Kataang and Maizu! =D Yeeey.

I was actually thinking we were going to have a Zutara moment for a second there...I was like chanting "Don't die Zuko! Don't Die!" and "Don't kiss! Don't kiss! Don't Kiss!". And when Zuko didn't die I did a little dance which...I'm not proud of. XD

I had like no clue until Iroh was like "No, not me. We need someone new and pure" or something like that, that Zuko was up for being Firelord. rofl. I mean that was kinda obvious it would be him if they won. XD He he.

It would be really cool to see an extended epilogue with all the characters' new lives and whatnot.

Yeah it's over. Marathon the last bunch of episodes is one way to finish things off.

Honestly should have expected it, but was still surprised at how just about nobody died. Maybe some guys fell from the airships, or some may not have been able to swim when they got dumped into the water, but otherwise a lively finish. Azula is probably twitching in a cell somewhere, Ozai is sitting around in prison again, and the good guys made it out alright. Some close calls like Zuko getting fried, but otherwise they were pretty much fine. Though we must mourn the Space Sword.

Kind of expected something about Zuko's mother since they went and brought it up. I'm just glad the Zuko/Mai moment was short. I honestly could never get behind it and its not about Zutara or anything like that. Though at least if you did support that pairing you got a few nice moments before the finish.

Avatar state really does solve all your problems. All the big deal about the Eclipse invasion, comet of doom, but and Ozai couldn't do anything. Though since they put the Avatar state pretty high up there it had to be impressive.

Wonder about Toph though who really got left to the side. At least she got some good action with that metal suit fighting. But what her future holds is up to interpretation. Maybe if she had gotten some life changing experience while walking with Zuko it would've gone differently. Heck even Ty Lee got some explanation for her future with joining the Kyoshi warriors. Though I can see it since she can try to find a place where people will accept her without intimidation.

So much has happened in the final moments.. it was just amazing to say the least..and that doesn't even do it justice to be honest.

We finally get to see just how much all of the main characters have grown and how their journey over the last year has come full circle....

I think one of, if not thee best parts is when Zuko is walkin up to Aang and they talk about where they were 1 year ago and how so much has changed and will continue to change...

Its amazing that Aang had asked him as the blue spirt if it was a different time would they have been friends..now it is a different time..and i have to say that i am very moved by the whole thing, although some things were a bit loose ends, overall it was nicely done and beautiful music and animation in alot of it

Its sad though to see it finally come to an end *wipes tears from her eyes*..

heres to Aang and the gang..or as Sokka would say Team Avatar! XD

Well, that's the end. No sleep for me tonight, but it was worth it. A little bit of a rough ending for zutara fans, because the last 2 hours of Avatar was like PURE zutara (nothing a little dying from other characters can't fix.. haha kidding...) but it was nice.

Ba Sing Se will probably never repair its walls. You know.. the whole peace and harmony thing...

I wish the avatar state was a little bit less of a deus ex machina, but I guess that's the whole point. And for people wondering how Aang can beat a comet, well he's technically a firebender too and gets the same benefits Ozai did - even if he was less smooth at the beginning.

favourite scene ..... HAS to be the Zuko-Azula agni-kai, that just rocked so hard. and when zuko saved katara from being hit by lightening I was so scared, I thought he was going to die.

yes I was happy with the Kataang ending, it was the right ending to have. Aang deserves her.
Also I was very satisifed with having the Zutara friendship. Im glad theyre friends now and worked together to save each other, it was great seeing that.

The only things Im annoyed at are that we dont know for sure what happened to Azula. Im thinking after she lost it and went psycho, she was most likely transformed into a useless wreck, and put in a mental asylum somewhere. Also I would like to know about the whole Ursa thing.
Other than that I was completely blown away :)

I write this with tears in my eyes , it's done , over , I can't believe it ....
so much questions so much thing we needed to see, to know : Ursa , The future ,and everything else....


the episode was awesome : so much bending action so much of every thing the show gave to us , really, I'm gonna miss this , when I was done watching , I just ... couldn't do anything for a moment.... every Day I watched fan fiction's, art , and other stuff to kill the time till avatar was over , now it is over and now I have to put my life back on the road with out avatar the series

but we have this forum and all it's awesome members to talk , write and draw so avatar can live on....


it was worth the waiting can't believe this was 2 years so fast when you look back ...
I've got almost vacation then I'm gonna watch every episode again

it...was...worth... the wait. omg the battle's were all epic. altho i wanted iroh to play a more direct aproach. But still azulo going crazy was excellent. to bad about zuko being shot, but in all the ice/water bending katara did was fantastic. the endings were great. i just loved that they didn't end it when the fight was over. the after story was an excellent closier.

oh yeah thats what i call a happy end! the bad guy is defeated but not dead, zuko is firelord and aang and katara are a couple :P
(and some other stuff of course but that was the main thing)

the fights were awesome - the agni-kai between zuko and azula (nice too see the end of that this crazy bi*** - isnt meant bad but ive never liked her :P ) clever made by katara but i wonder why azula didnt firebend in the water or liquefied her chains. well never mind.

the way aang has been enabled entering the avatar state was just as well. oh yeah he ruled. of course i can understand why ozai was just running away - what would u do if there is a guy in the avatar state behind u, chasing u with glimmen eyes and tattoos and the ultimate power of the elements ;D

i think i will see the end the rest of the day again and again xD

mmh i would like to see a look in the future too. or even a continuation! new bad guys or a new avatar + his story!

ok so i'm back to attempt this, expressing my thoughts on the final episode.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.
nothing should be changed, nothing did not work.
azula had been the perfect, in-control prodigy the whole way through book 2 and 3. it was only fitting that she gets what she wants, then cracks. zuko not beating her was fine... because azula's biggest defeat was always gonna come from herself. she'll no doubt be in a cell, miserable as she deserves to be.
aang vs ozai, wow, that was some epic fighting. and it was brilliant how aang stopped ozai in a way no-one had known before, to uphold his plan to not kill ozai, thus ensuring peace and not just another death.

space sword... well we can only hope sokka will spend some time looking for it... i mean there's no war to worry about now so he and suki can go around looking for it.
toph has a happy ending, although you may not notice so quickly. all toph wanted in life was true friends... she has them, and they have her. no doubt go on to be a hell of an earth-bending(and possibly metal-bending?) teacher!!
ursa is obviosuly out there, and zuko will be told where. there's no cliffhanger about it, we just aren't seeing zuko being reunited with her.
as far as aang and katara's final scene... it was gonna happen from the very first episode. i'm so indescribably happy it happened.

i did not cry, but every time i watch the end, i am moved, and my heart stirs. i believe it is my heart crying simultaneous tears of joy and sadness.

I loved this final episode. I think it wraps things up very well. I've already watched it four times and every time is great. I desperately wish they will come out with an epilogue episode or something.

Now not to be picky or anything but I thought two things in this episode were funny. First: I thought it was kind of funny when Toph was "watching" the other airships from theirs and said, "Wow that's a lot of fire isn't it!" When she can't even see anything outside the airship so she said lol. I didn't think that was too clear at least.

Also I find it hilarious that just a couple episodes before Katara is sooooo confused about their relationship but as soon as Aang is recognized in front of all four nations and becomes the most beloved person in the entire four kingdoms....she's suddenly smittened and can't imagine herself being with anybody else. I wanted the Kataang thing to happen...that just bugs me though lol.

Guess it was all about being able to feel the heat, hear the fire, and maybe smell the burning forest. Obviously wasn't there so I can't say for sure, but could probably tell in that kind of fashion how big the fire was and just wanted confirmation.

possibly "Welcome to the club"?, as in the club where everyone feels that way, so yeah you basically got it.


the reason toph is the one who goes "thats a lot of fire isn't it?" is because she is blind and it puts an emphasis on the fact that there's is really THAT MUCH fire, even a blind person knows it without seeing.

and katara might have said she was confused, but she obviously feared aang wouldn't come back, and wouldn't commit her heart to him until she realised that all was well and that aang was safe i.e after the war was declared over.

The announcement from the top of the Avatar Chronicles board.

The very first statement is that there will be no Book 4.

People seem to still have questions and confusion about what exactly is happening with Avatar after this week is done and over with. So this thread is to clear up any confusion you guys might have and let you know what all Avatary things are happening after the 19th.

The following are facts and not rumors...

-There will be no "Season 4" of Avatar the Last Airbender. "ATLA" was always meant to be just three seasons consisting of Aang mastering an element in each season. So season three is the last season of Zuko and Aang's story arc.

We can only dream of a fourth season now.
