What I Learned at SRU

Postby D3stiny_Sm4sher » Mon Dec 05, 2011 4:36 am

Due to the nature of message boards not being HTML friendly here, I can't actually post my work here, but I CAN post links to it:

DeviantArt: http://destiny-smasher.deviantart.com/gallery/26929356
FF.net: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6417590/1/W ... ned_at_SRU

As briefly as I can attempt to summarize:
This story is an AU, modern-day, college setting that stars Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Smellerbee.
Its plot weaves elements and references from the main series (and even a little Legend of Korra later) but the actual plot itself is generally an original plot, based in large part on my own personal experience in college.

So is it going to be some sort of rite of passage? Apply to college... read college based fiction. Nice.

I actually think you'll like it, Tiny, and that's not just because you're my AP sister. P:

Some reader recently made a comment about how they were ironically slacking on their college finals to read this college fiction.

Thanks, Batt. -^_^-

And Tiny, I really appreciate the interest and hope that if you do give it a chance, you'll find it to be worthwhile. I admit it prolly takes a little time to build up, the first 10-15 chaps (and the 5th main character becomes a MAIN character), but...in either case, it will lend you some insight into what my college life was like, at least. :ugeek:

Every time I read a chapter I feel like I'm right back in college. Should be added to a list of required reading for incoming freshmen so they know what to expect (of course this is in additon to its all around awesomeness. Anyone reading this post should stop and go read this story. That is so long as you have a day in which you can neglect your family and all other social responsibilities since you won't be able to stop reading).
