Star Wars RP Info and Such

Yes, as the title says, A Star Wars RP. This thread is mostly just to see if something like this will fly/have enough people interested.

Now, some very basic information:


This is going to be a small RP, likely no more than five or six people
It will not be fast paced, since everyone is in school or college
This won't be a "Here you are, go nuts" kind of RP. It will be more structured, like a DnD adventure module, but not on rails
Extensive knowledge of SW IS NOT required, most of you aren't junkies like me
If you are interested, be forewarned that you will be the good guys, at least for a while, no Sith and such
There will be roles to be filled, so not everyone will be a Jedi


Only information I require right now, is that if you're interested, post here, and also select a SW period that you prefer.

Now, this is the basic framework. If you have questions, feel free to ask.

Now, you three that have expressed and interest, what kind of characters do you want to play? I don't need an entire character bio, just a basic idea what you're interested in, so I can tweak the idea I have around a bit to fit with you all as a whole.

So as far as location goes, we're going to start on Cathar, technically before the start of the Mandalorian Wars, during the Mandalorians near genocide of the Cathar...

A Star Wars RP sounds good, though it wouldn't be the first time someone will try to host one.
As for timeline, I'd go with a different approach:

Same universe, no time line (All techs as we know them are there, it's mostly balanced anyways), the galactic war is there, but none of the events (No blowing up of Alderaan, no blockade of Naboo, no Darth Vader etc.)

Neat idea, but I think I'd rather play a freer standalone character.

Also, I like the idea of keeping canon events canon.

Whoah whoah whoah, no one found a body, doesn't mean she's dead. She was at the edge of the Cathar getting vaped, and had the benefit of armor to help protect her at least somewhat.

Yet she lost her helmet? Uh huh. Riiiiiiiiiiight. Did we have any cathar who were on the edges of the explosion survive?

Hey, we didn't see a body, which means she can be retconned into being alive. She could have been knocked unconscious, drifted downriver, and then found by...whoever. You can be whoever, I just thought you'd like the idea of playing the person who Revan got his mask from.

I certainly would, but I honestly am fairly convinced she is dead. Allow me to make another argument.

When Revan found that mask by accidentally touching it, he and all the Jedi present saw a vision of what happened through that woman's eyes. How could that happen unless her's and all the dead cathars' souls were bound to that location by their mutual destruction? Essentially, they couldn't have accessed her memories if she were not one with the force, which would not have happened if she had been alive.

It WOULD be awesome to play that character, but I don't believe it would be RIGHT canonwise.

Well, so far it's Kaji and Pleh for sure, and I've extracted a promise from Count to be a smuggler, so we are well on our way to starting. If you guys want to post your character sheets (read: post them or die), please do so at your earliest convenience so I can find a way to wrangle us all together.
